Fostering startup ecosystems through economic cooperation and cultural exchange
Ecosystems become more interconnected, startup teams become more diverse. In an ever more interdependent society, we want to shed light on four important startup hubs and build an open platform to connect these ecosystems with each other and beyond. The German-Asian startup platform StartUp AsiaBerlin is a project established by the State of Berlin in cooperation with GIZ and the support of the BMZ. It involves German and Asian stakeholders from startup hubs that are responsible for creating productive ecosystems. The platform between the startup hubs Berlin, Manila, Jakarta and Bangalore enables the professionalization and direct cooperation between startups.
We are the Senate’s right hand in this project by being responsible for the operational implementation of the project and the local hub manager. Besides setting up the website and social media channels and feeding them with content, we plan and produce events ranging from meetups, workshops and startup tours to the annual roadshow, take care of media relations and offer support in any organizational matters and strategic concepts.
